What is the Enhanced Consumer Checkout?
Once enabled, when consumers clicks on a Vyne payment link, they will land on the new Enhanced Consumer Checkout. This landing page provides simple, bitesize information on Vyne and walks the customer through how to complete a payment. In order to build trust, reassurance and boost conversion, the following information has been added to the landing page:
- The company name / alias or trading name, to build trust and instant recognition
- Trust building and security messaging about Vyne
- Bank logos to build familiarity
- Further information on how to make a payment through Vyne
Why add the Enhanced Consumer Checkout to your payment journey?
The aim of the Enhanced Consumer Checkout is to reduce payment link abandonment and put customers' minds at ease by providing the details they need to convert, so there’s no need for them to leave the checkout process to conduct their own research. This not only boosts conversion but it also creates a frictionless payment experience as they’re given all the information they need in one place.
You can find more information on our Enhanced Hosted Checkout on our Vyne blog page.
Setting your trading name or consumer facing alias
As we are legally required to display to your customer your Registered Company name as part of the checkout journey, we appreciate this may not always be your customer facing business name and could lead to some confusion. By enabling the Enhanced Consumer Checkout, this also allows you to set your Trading name or alias, that we can also display to your customers - this is to help build trust and instant recognition which in turn boosts payment conversion.
These are set on a Settlement account level, meaning if you have multiple sites each with their unique trading name then we can label each Settlement account as such to display to your customers accordingly.
How can a merchant view what we have as their trading name or alias?
This is viewable from within the Vyne merchant portal for those with Admin access:
Account > Settlement accounts > "Checkout as"
